They are safer for surface cleaning. Weekly sanitization is enough for such toys.

Baby toys:

Baby toys need the most frequent attention because they are most likely to be put in a child’s mouth. They are also dropped on the floor by children. Due to these reasons, they need to be cleaned after every two to three days.

Disinfection of Toys with vinegar:

Vinegar is a great household grease remover and it can also kill some germs. But it can’t reach the sanitizing and disinfecting level registered by EPA. That’s why vinegar is not a good option.

For every time you should use a fresh solution of bleach. After drying, use hot water to rinse them and let them dry again in the air.

Bath toys with holes in the bottom are problematic. Water gets trapped inside these holes and let the molds grow in them. Even complete air dry is not enough to remove water from these holes. So, be careful about their cleaning. If you wash such toys with water, shake and squeeze to remove the water completely.
